Welcome to the ultimate leveling guide for Diablo 4. If you value your time and want to progress efficiently, this guide is for you. We have compiled a leveling strategy that will take you from Level 1 to 100 with useful tips along the way.
1-100 Fast Leveling Strategy:
- Start in World Tier 1: Begin your leveling journey in World Tier 1. The time-to-kill ratio in World Tier 2 is not worth the additional XP gains. However, if you find yourself breezing through content in World Tier 1, you can give World Tier 2 a try.
- Focus on Build Strength: Ensure your character is as strong as possible to experience a smooth leveling process. Research and explore multiple build guides to find one that suits your playstyle and performs well.
- Stick to the Main Campaign: To maximize efficiency, prioritize the main campaign and avoid getting sidetracked with side quests, events, and most dungeons. Completing the campaign once per account unlocks the option to skip it for future characters and seasons.
- Unlock Mounts: While progressing through the campaign, keep an eye out for opportunities to unlock and use mounts. Mounts enhance your mobility, making the leveling experience more convenient.
- Collect Legendary Aspects: Deviate from the campaign temporarily to collect important legendary aspects for your build. These aspects provide significant boosts to your character’s power. Look out for aspects like Blast Trappers and Blade Dancers during Act 1 and Act 2, respectively.
- Imprint Top Legendary Aspects: Be selective with the legendary aspects you imprint on your gear. Since you’ll be replacing gear as you level, imprinting every aspect can be a waste of resources. Focus on imprinting only the top few game-changing aspects on your jewelry, which require less frequent upgrades.
- Herb Collection: Gather herbs as you explore the world. These herbs are used to upgrade your potion, increasing its healing properties, and craft elixirs that provide a 5% XP boost while leveling.
- Earn Renown Skill Points: Each zone on the map has two skill points locked behind Renown. Prioritize discovering waypoints and areas to earn enough Renown for the first two skill points in each zone. Focus on completing dungeons or other open-world activities to earn the required Renown.
- Transition to World Tier 3: Around level 40 or 45, aim to complete the Capstone dungeon to unlock World Tier 3. Higher World tiers offer increased XP rates and the chance to obtain sacred and unique items. Nightmare sizzles also start dropping, granting access to challenging nightmare dungeons with enhanced rewards.
- Catch up on Renown and Levels: If you feel under-leveled or weak in World Tier 3, focus on open-world activities to catch up on Renown and levels. Completing renowned activities will be easier than dungeons but still provide valuable experience points.
- Unlock World Tier 4: Progress and improve your gear in World Tier 3 to reach levels 60 to 65. Aim to complete the second Capstone dungeon to unlock World Tier 4, which offers a substantial 200% increased XP rate.
- Dungeon Farming for Level 100: Once in World Tier 4, focus on farming dungeons to expedite your journey to level 100. Dungeons provide excellent XP gains while continuing to earn renowned for additional skill points.
